INTERNATIONAL CAUCUS
The Black Radical Congress is continuing the long tradition of anti imperialism among peoples of African descent living in the United States. The Black Radical Congress goes on record to express its opposition to US military intervention overseas. The BRC is especially opposed to the large military spending of the government as opposed to social spending. As oppressed peoples in this country, we are aware that military support for dictators oppress working peoples all over the world. The culture of militarism at home corrupts the society and accounts for the proliferation of weapons. The international caucus is an active supporter of genuine peace and is opposed to all forms of genocide and genocidal violence. The BRC is especially active in the area of supporting African women and the Pan African women’s initiative for peace. The international caucus works with all sections of the BRC to promote the anti imperialist work and is at the forefront of the struggles for a new international economic order. In particular, the BRC is supporting the struggles against the WTO, the struggles against the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. The BRC calls for reparations for Africans at home and abroad and for a cancellation of the African, Caribbean and Third World debt.

The BRC supports the 500 year struggles of the indigenous peoples of this hemisphere for their rights. The international caucus supports their just cause for justice in all parts of the hemisphere, especially in Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru, and Mexico. This includes the struggles of the First Nation Peoples in the USA and Canada. The BRC supports the struggle of the Chiapas for political democracy in Mexico and the struggle of indigenous people everywhere for social justice. The BRC is opposed to all forms of colonialism.

The BRC supports the struggles of working peoples in all countries of the world for social, economic and environmental rights.
